Peach lemonade: light, refreshing, and a crowd-pleaser in any picnic or BBQ
Summer is a time of year that, in my opinion, lends itself to the most interesting fashion statements. Not that I'm one to judge, since my sense of fashion is as good as a color-blind wild monkey's... But still, there are some things I don't get. Like, girls wearing teeny tiny short shorts, with teeny tiny belly shirts... and Uggs. Uggs! Is it me or does that sound like a huge walking contradiction? If you're dressing for 90-degree hot and humid weather, warm, furry boots wrapped around your feet might not be the best choice. Might be time to invest in, I don't know, a pair of cute $5 flip-flops maybe? Just a thought.
But hey, you know what they say, to each his own, right? I'm sure a lot of people can't understand why I wear nothing but workout clothes when I have a closet full of regular clothes at home. Or why my nails are never ever done. Or why my handbag never matches any of my clothes. I guess it all comes down to acceptance and respect, for the things we can't understand. What a wonderful world it would be if we all followed that simple rule, don't you think??
But anyway, putting fashion aside, you know what else summer lends itself to? Fun, refreshing Summer Drinks. We all love them, and we all definitely crave them.
We've created quite a few delicious ones over the years, like our Summery Passion Fruit Sangria, Blueberry Lime Frozen Margaritas, our Watermelon Limeade and my personal favorite, Blueberry Frozen Lemonade. And here's another one to add to the list: a nectarine lemonade. Sweet, tangy, and the perfect summer thirst quencher. Now, we like ours on the sour side, so if you have more of a sweet tooth, feel free to adjust the amount of lemon juice and add more maple syrup. Like we said, to each his own 😉
Enjoy!

Thank you so much!

I admit I haven't made this yet, so I'm not leaving a star rating, but I LOVE nectarines, and now I know what to do with my next ripe or sub-par batch! This sounds absolutely delicious - and delightfully sour! Could you use agave syrup instead of maple syrup? Same amount?
Vicky and Ruth
Ha, ha, unfortunately, we also get sub-par batches of nectarines where the flavor is there but not the texture. Yes, you can replace the same amount of agave for maple syrup. Add more or less sweetener to taste. Enjoy!

I have a question, I only eat maple syrup on pancakes. Do I need this in the recipe?
Vicky and Ruth
No, you don't need it. You can use agave, honey or sugar!
