Warm up this winter season with this Apple Cider Hot Toddy. Sweet, smokey and delicious!
With an arctic front coming our way, we'll probably spend the weekend balled up on the couch sipping this delicious apple cider hot toddy!
Sweet apple cider simmered with cinnamon and vanilla, and a generous shot of whiskey. For this recipe, you can use your favorite brand of whiskey or scotch. We chose Johnnie Walker Double Black because of it's intense smokey flavor and aroma. If you're very fond of the smokiness, the regular Black Label will do!

Apple Cider Hot Toddy
- Total Time: 15 mins
- Yield: 2 1x
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1 cinnamon stick
- ½ vanilla bean, sliced in half lengthwise to expose the seeds
- ¼ cup scotch (or to taste)
- Combine apple cider, cinnamon stick and vanilla bean in a small saucepan. Simmer over medium low heat for about 10 minutes
- Remove from heat, take out the vanilla bean and cinnamon stick and add whiskey. Serve warm
