Ingredients
Scale
- 1/3 cup orange juice
- ⅔ cup all-natural peanut butter
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 3 tbsp grated ginger
- 2 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients in a large blender and blend until smooth
- Scrape the sides of the blender and stir, making sure all the ingredients are completely mixed
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it. It taste best when fresh - use it within 3-5 days
Notes
- The peanut sauce will thicken in the fridge, just add a little water or orange juice to thin it out
- Use creamy peanut butter. The crunchy peanut butter just doesn't puree the same.
- If you don't have lemons, you can use limes, instead.
- Store leftover peanut sauce in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Keep it in an airtight container - I like to use a mason jar with a tight lid because it doesn't leak.
- For a little extra flavor, add some minced garlic.
- Swap the peanut butter for any other type of all-natural, creamy nut butter. Some of our favorites are almond butter and cashew butter
