In serious need of comfort food (thank you, Bomb Cyclone),  but wanting to keep your New Year’s resolutions? Enter Peanut Butter Banana Vegan Hot Chocolate. No sugar added, dairy free and nutritious!


Ingredients

  • 1 banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp all natural peanut butter
  • 1 1/3 cup unsweetened non dairy milk
  • 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the banana slices, peanut butter and 1/3 cup milk in the blender, and blend until smooth. Set aside
  2. Combine 1 cup of milk and the cocoa powder in a small sauce pan. Place it on the stove over medium heat, whisking constantly until the cocoa powder has dissolved completely. Add the banana peanut butter mixture and maple syrup (if using), stir well cook for another minute. Serve warm
