Start the year right with this smoothie that will nourish your body with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup orange juice, preferably freshly squeezed
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 cup baby spinach
- 1/2 seedless cucumber, chopped
- 4 romaine lettuce leaves, chopped
- 1 fresh or frozen banana, sliced
- 3/4 cup frozen cranberries
- 1/2 to 1 tbsp beet powder (to taste, see note)
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients in a high power blender and blend until smooth
Notes
- If you like a milder beet flavor, use 1/2 tablespoon or less of powder
The smoothie will be pretty thick. You can add water or extra coconut water to thin it out
