How to make cold brew coffee?

You’ve probably seen cold brew coffee pop up all over the place lately. But, what exactly is cold brew coffee? To put it simply, it’s  coffee that is brewed in cold, not hot, water. The result is a smooth, less acidic coffee where its true flavor shines without being bitter.


Ingredients

1 cup coarse ground coffee of your choice

5 cups room temperature filtered or bottled water


Instructions

In a large pitcher, combine coffee and water and mix well.  Cover and let it sit on the counter for 18-24 hours. Strain into another pitcher. using a fine mesh strainer lined with paper towels or a cheese cloth. Place in the refrigerator and use within 2 weeks.
